Got food to donate? That’s “fine” with the Library.
TRU Library’s annual Food for Fines campaign will run April 8 – 27.
During this time, the Library will waive $2 in overdue fines for each non-perishable food item donated, up to a total of $20 in fines. All donations will go to the TRUSU food bank, and the Library will of course also welcome food donations from those whose library accounts are in good standing, if you’d simply like to help out a good cause.
Food donations will be accepted (and fines waived) at the Checkout Desks of both Kamloops campus library branches during service hours; the Williams Lake Campus Library is also running Food for Fines, to support the WL campus’s food bank during this same time period.
