We’re thrilled to welcome Eva Lu to the TRU Library team as our new Discovery Librarian!
Eva brings a rich blend of academic excellence and professional experience to this pivotal role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours with Distinction) and a Master of Information from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in Library Science, Archives, and UX Design.
Eva has spent the past two years advancing discovery services as the Metadata, Cataloguing, and Discovery Librarian at both the University of Waterloo and Queen’s University, contributing to collaborative initiatives within the Ontario Council of University Libraries consortium. Her international experience includes roles in Italy as a Digitization Assistant at Be.One.Digital and a Library Assistant at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste. She has also held key positions at Concordia University and the University of Toronto, focusing on metadata, archives, and user experience.
In her new role at TRU, Eva will lead strategic efforts to enhance the discoverability, accessibility, and impact of our digital and physical collections. Her work will directly support TRU’s teaching, learning, and research priorities by ensuring seamless access to resources across all modes of delivery. She will also play a vital role in amplifying the visibility of TRU faculty scholarship and research data hosted on library platforms.
Please join us in giving Eva a warm welcome to TRU!
