October is Women’s History Month in Canada, a time to celebrate the women and girls from our past, and our present, who are contributing to a better, more inclusive Canada. We’re excited to celebrate the incredible contributions of women throughout history with a special book display at our library.
We’ve curated a fantastic selection of books that highlight the achievements, struggles, and triumphs of women from all walks of life in Canada. From Canada’s crusaders for women’s rights to indigenous women and girls’ history in Canada, to women’s contributions to community life in Kamloops, this display has something for everyone!
We hope this display sparks your interest and encourages you to learn more about the incredible women who have shaped our world. Remember, history is not just about the past—it’s about understanding our present and shaping our future.
Drop by the Learning Commons on the first floor of the House of Learning or our virtual book display to learn more and read these books.
