Third Iron is a recently acquired suite of library technologies that are designed to enhance the research experience by making it easier to discover, access, and manage scholarly articles and journals. The suite includes BrowZine, LibKey Nomad, LibKey.io, and integrations with our Discover Search.
BrowZine: is a journal platform that makes it easier to browse, read, and monitor your favourite scholarly journals that TRU Library subscribes to.
LibKey Nomad: is a browser extension that helps you find and access scholarly articles when searching outside the library on sites like PubMed, Google, and more.
LibKey.io: LibKey.io is a search tool that helps you access the full text of an article when searching by PMID or DOI. It is integrated into BrowZine and provides options for interlibrary loan if an article is not available through the library.
LibKey Integrations: LibKey Link and Discovery integrations with Discover Search do the work of pulling the full text article from our subscriptions.
