The TRU Library continuously evaluates resources to ensure that funds and resources are allocated as effectively as possible. Database offerings are changed to reflect usage, content and availability of funds.
A recent analysis of usage statistics reveals declining usage of Health Source Nursing/Academic, Health Source Consumer Edition and Alt HealthWatch. There is also a great deal of duplicate full-text content between the above databases and others licensed by the TRU Library. For these reasons, we have decided to cancel Health Source Nursing/Academic, Health Source Consumer Edition and Alt HealthWatch effective immediately.
The Library continues to support health, nursing and medical research needs via other high quality databases such as:
- CINAHL with Full-Text
- Biomedical Reference Collection Comprehensive
- Medline with Full-Text
- Wiley Online Journals
- ScienceDirect
- Academic Search Complete
Do not hesitate to contact library staff for assistance in determining which database(s) are best for your research.
