TRU Research across the disciplines: Brown bag lunch & learn series

  Posted on: January 7, 2014

Bring your lunch & find out what some of your colleagues are working on!

On Thursday, January 16, the TRU Library kicks off an informal, brown bag lunch & learn series with a talk by psychology faculty member Denise Weisgerber about her research on the relationship between sleep deprivation and driving performance.

The weekly speaker series will give faculty from different disciplines a platform to share their research with one another while promoting connections between the disciplines.  Upcoming presenters include Laura Lamb from the Department of Economics, B.C. Regional Innovation Chair in Aboriginal Early Childhood Development Rod McCormick,  Cynthia Ross Friedman and Matthew Reudink from the Department of Biology, Tina Block from History, and Ginny Ratsoy and Nina Johnson from English and Modern Languages.  The talks will take place in the Graduate Student Research Area, located on the ground floor of the Main Library, and most are scheduled to take place from 12:30-1:30. In addition to faculty, undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning about how research takes place and in generating ideas for their own future projects are encouraged to attend.
