Introducing Email Post to Web

  Posted on: July 8, 2014

Since the change to Canada’s copyright law in 2012, the TRU Library has been able to send your interlibrary loan (ILL) articles directly to  you electronically. On the advice of the Intellectual Property Office, the TRU Library is making some changes to our electronic delivery method for articles. We will now be delivering ILL articles to you via “Email Post to Web”.

With “Email Post to Web”, you will will receive an email message to your mytru.ca/tru.ca email account with a link to access the document online. The article will be available for download for 14 days and can be accessed up to 5 times.

If you do not regularly check your mytru.ca email, you may want to forward your mytru.ca email to your favourite email address. Log in to myTRU and look for “Options” to set up automatic email forwarding.

Please note you must continue to abide by the copyright information which is included in the text of the email you will receive from the TRU Library with your article.  Interlibrary loan copies are made in compliance with Thompson Rivers University’s Fair Dealing Policy.

We hope you find this new delivery service both fast and efficient.
